Welcome to the Troop 56 Website (www.troop56.org)

Welcome to Troop 56!

Troop 56 was founded 11/12/13 and formally expanded its program to include girls in January 2023.

Troop 56 is carrying on the tradition of excellence of both, Cub Scout Pack 56, and the legendary former *Troop 22, with an emphasis on the outdoors.

The Troop embodies the ideals of Scouting and of Lusher Charter School now known as "The Willow School:

Project Pride
Be Kind
Be Responsible
Respect People and Property
Do Your Best Work

Scout Oath
On my honor, I will do my best. To do my duty to god and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Troop 56 motto
Help the other fellow

Scout Safety and Bullying video links

Posted on Dec 4 2024 - 8:19am

As many scouts move close to rank, many are being held back by not having the required training completed with their parents for personal safety and bullying videos completed. These links have been updated in the links area of the website but are both located here: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth/scouts-bsa/For the Scout rank, Scouts must view all four of the videos in the top section of the page:  Digital Safety, Bullying, Abuse, and Youth Protection Policies. For those who are beyond the Scout rank, Scouts must view all four Scout rank videos again and all 4 of the Star rank videos: Persistence for Pictures, Grooming and Sexual Abuse, Sexual Abuse in the Family, and Friends Should Never Look the Other Way that are lower in the page. These are topics that are excellent discussion topics for your family units. Feel free to bring any questions to your friendly scoutmaster.
