Welcome to Troop 56!

Troop 56 was founded 11/12/13 and formally expanded its program to include girls in January 2023.

Troop 56 is carrying on the tradition of excellence of both, Cub Scout Pack 56, and the legendary former *Troop 22, with an emphasis on the outdoors.

The Troop embodies the ideals of Scouting and of Lusher Charter School now known as "The Willow School:

*Troop 22 was a Troop at Lusher Charter School in the 50s and 60s that did extraordinary things including sailing to Cuba and was known as a PineTree Troop which meant they could make and break camp in 10 minutes.

Apologies for the short notice and second eblast of the week, but Tulane's pool is closing for the summer. This Friday from 5-6:30 PM we will be doing swim tests and the swim component of the swimming merit badge if time allows. Remember your password to the website is your first initial and last name (no periods, spaces, capitals) and there is a link just below your ID to reset/set your password.

All scouts (old and new) and adults going to a water related activity or camp activity should be in attendance if at all possible. Please remember that we are guests at the Reily Center and all scouts should be on their best behavior! Please arrive dressed and ready to swim. Bring a warm towel or sweatshirt as the pool area and water is chilly.

End of Year, Swim test, Angry Birds planning

Hello Scouts and Adults! We are nearing the end of the season and there are several items of note on the calendar that you need to RSVP to attend. First, this week's meeting for B will be planned by the angry birds, G will be responsible for their own meeting. Both should be prepared with an end of meeting game for their patrol or the troop as a whole. Please let your friendly scoutmaster know if you need supplies for anything by Monday.

Troop 56B & Troop 56G Parent Meeting

The Tuesday Scout meeting is cancelled and we will have a parent and Leader meeting. A parent from every scout family should attend. This is not a Scout meeting but a Parent and leader meeting
